Terms of Service

1. The agreement

These terms are the agreement between you and Red Lion Labs LLC (“Red Lion Labs”, “we”, “us”) for using Playbucks: the Playbucks app, the Playbucks rewards inside our games, and this website.

By using Playbucks you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Playbucks. Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and why.

2. Who may use Playbucks

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • You must live in the United States, where Playbucks is offered.
  • One account per person. You may not open more than one, or use someone else’s.
  • What you tell us about yourself must be true.
  • You are responsible for what happens in your account.

3. What Playbucks is

Playbucks is a rewards program for Red Lion Labs games. You earn by playing the games. Nothing is bought to earn: there is no purchase that increases your rewards.

  • Playbucks add up as you play. They are a preview: they have no cash value by themselves. Playbucks cannot be bought, sold or transferred.
  • Keys open chests. A chest opens with 10 keys. Keys arrive over time, from quests, and from a few ads you choose to watch.
  • Chests. A chest pays cash when it opens. What it pays is a share of the advertising revenue your own play produced, and it varies.
  • My Cash is the cash from the chests you opened and from your invites. It is the balance you can cash out. It is not a bank account, it earns no interest, and it cannot be transferred to another person.

The app and the games show ads. The ads are what pays for the rewards. Only ads shown while you are in the United States earn cash.

4. No promise of earnings

Nothing is guaranteed. Your rewards depend on how much you play and on the advertising shown while you play. They vary, and they may be zero.

Playbucks is not a job, and we do not promise any income from it. We may change how rewards work, including how playbucks, keys and chests work and what a chest pays.

We may offer bonuses that raise your rewards for a limited time, such as the Welcome Bonus for new players. A bonus may apply to only part of what a chest pays. We may change or end a bonus.

A reward is first worked out from what an ad usually earns, and corrected once our ad partners report what it really earned. A correction can add to your rewards, or be taken from your later rewards. It is never taken from My Cash or from cash you have cashed out.

5. Cashing out

  • Cash-out is to PayPal only.
  • Your first cash-out has no minimum. After that, the minimum for each cash-out is $5.
  • There is a limit on how much you can cash out each day. The app shows it.
  • PayPal’s fee for sending a cash-out is paid by us.
  • To cash out you need a saved account and a PayPal account connected to it.
  • One PayPal account per person.
  • If PayPal returns a payment, the amount goes back to My Cash.
  • We may hold a cash-out while we review an account: for example when it shows unusual activity, or when the country your ads were shown in and the country of your PayPal account do not match.
  • You are responsible for your own PayPal account. PayPal’s own terms apply to it.
  • You are responsible for any taxes on what you receive. We may ask you for tax information where the law requires it.

6. Invites

  • When you invite a friend, you get 10% of what your friend’s chests pay. We pay it. It is not taken from your friend.
  • You may not invite yourself, or invite an account you control.
  • A friend can accept one invite only, and only while they are level 1.

7. Premium, where offered

Premium is a subscription that may be offered in the app. It removes the ads between levels and gives daily in-game rewards. The ads you choose to watch for playbucks and keys stay.

  • Premium costs $4.99 a week and is billed by the app store you use. The store shows the price before you subscribe.
  • The first day is free.
  • It renews every week until you cancel. You cancel in your app store account. Refunds are handled by the app store under its own rules.
  • Premium does not increase your rewards. It never changes what a chest pays.

8. Fair play

You may not use:

  • bots, scripts or any other automation;
  • emulators;
  • modified versions of the app or of the games;
  • more than one account;
  • fake or automated ad views;
  • a VPN, or anything else that makes you appear to be somewhere you are not.

We may withhold or cancel rewards gained in any of these ways, and we may close the account.

9. Guest accounts

You can play as a guest. A guest’s progress lives on the device until the account is saved. If the app is removed or the device is lost before then, the progress may be lost with it. Cashing out needs a saved account.

10. Closing an account

You can close your account at any time. How to delete your account.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. We may also change, pause or end Playbucks.

Cash that has not been cashed out when an account closes: If you delete your account, cash you have not cashed out is lost; the app offers to cash it out first. If we close an account because it broke these terms, its cash is forfeited. If we end Playbucks, we will tell you in advance and give you time to cash out.

11. Apple and Google

Apple and Google are not sponsors of Playbucks and are not responsible for it. The rewards are offered by Red Lion Labs alone.

12. Our content and trademarks

Playbucks, the games, and their names, logos, art and software belong to Red Lion Labs or to those who license them to us. You may use the app and the games for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, change, sell or reverse engineer them.

13. Disclaimers

Playbucks is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including that Playbucks will always be available, will have no errors, or will pay any particular amount.

14. Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, Red Lion Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost goodwill, that come from using Playbucks.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim about Playbucks is limited to the amount of My Cash in your account that had not been paid to you when the claim arose.

Some places do not allow some of these limits. In those places they apply only as far as the law allows.

15. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. If you keep using Playbucks after a change, you accept the new terms.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
